Terms & conditions.

Last updated: August 2026

These terms apply when you book a session or purchase a membership with The Recovery Club ("we", "us", "our") through this site. By checking the agreement box during booking, you confirm that you've read, understood, and agreed to everything below, including the risk, waiver, and safety information in the sections that follow.

Use of the facilities

The Recovery Club provides facilities including, but not limited to, a sauna, an ice bath / cold-water immersion, a hot jacuzzi, and associated showers and changing facilities. All facilities are provided for recreational and recovery purposes, and you use them entirely at your own risk.

You acknowledge that the use of heat and cold-water immersion can involve inherent risks, including but not limited to dizziness, fainting, dehydration, burns, cold shock, hypothermia, changes in blood pressure, loss of consciousness, slips and falls, and, in serious circumstances, injury or death.

Health and medical conditions

You're responsible for determining whether you're physically and medically fit to use the facilities. You should seek advice from your doctor or other suitably qualified healthcare professional before using the facilities if you have any medical condition, are taking medication, are pregnant, have any concerns about your health, or are unsure whether cold-water immersion or hot-tub use is suitable for you.

In particular, seek medical advice before using the facilities if you have, or have previously experienced, conditions affecting the heart, blood pressure, circulation, lungs, nervous system, or other conditions that may be affected by exposure to extreme temperatures.

We don't provide medical advice and can't determine whether the facilities are suitable for you. That judgment, and getting the right advice beforehand, is yours to make.

Personal responsibility

You agree to use the facilities responsibly and within your own physical capabilities. You must:

  • Follow the displayed time limits and usage instructions.
  • Enter and exit the facilities carefully.
  • Stay hydrated.
  • Stop using any facility immediately if you feel unwell, dizzy, faint, excessively cold, overheated, short of breath, or otherwise uncomfortable.
  • Inform a member of staff immediately if you become unwell or notice a safety issue.
  • Never deliberately exceed the recommended usage times or temperatures.
  • Never use the facilities in a manner that could put yourself or another person at risk.
  • Never attempt to push through discomfort or illness. If you feel unwell, exit the facility immediately and seek assistance.

Alcohol, drugs and medication

You must not use the facilities while under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. You should also seek appropriate medical advice if you're taking medication that may affect your ability to safely use a sauna, hot tub, or cold-water immersion facility. We reserve the right to refuse or end access for anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Ice bath / cold-water immersion

Cold-water immersion can cause an immediate physiological response, including cold shock, rapid changes in breathing, increased heart rate, and changes in blood pressure. You acknowledge that cold-water immersion carries inherent risks and agree to follow all instructions regarding entry, exit, duration, and temperature.

You must not remain in the ice bath for longer than the recommended period, and must exit immediately if you experience severe discomfort, dizziness, confusion, difficulty breathing, numbness, or any other concerning symptoms.

Sauna and hot jacuzzi

The sauna and hot jacuzzi expose the body to elevated temperatures and can result in overheating, dehydration, dizziness, fainting, and other adverse effects. You agree to comply with all recommended temperature and time limits, and must leave the sauna or jacuzzi immediately if you feel unwell or experience dizziness, nausea, weakness, chest discomfort, difficulty breathing, or any other concerning symptoms.

Children and vulnerable persons

Children under 16 are not permitted to use the facilities. Young people aged 16 to 18 may use the facilities only when supervised by a responsible adult. Anyone who may require assistance or supervision must be accompanied by a responsible adult where required.

Slips, trips and falls

The Recovery Club is a wet environment and surfaces may become slippery. You agree to take reasonable care when moving around the facilities, particularly when entering or exiting the sauna, ice bath, hot jacuzzi, and shower areas. Appropriate footwear should be worn where required.

Personal belongings

You're responsible for your own belongings while using The Recovery Club. We accept no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property unless caused by our own negligence or otherwise required by law.

Damage, misuse and conduct

Sessions have a limited number of spots. We reserve the right to refuse entry or end a session for anyone whose behaviour puts other attendees or staff at risk. You're responsible for any deliberate or negligent damage you cause to our facilities, equipment, or property. Facilities must only be used for their intended purpose. Any unsafe, abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in your session being terminated and/or you being refused future access.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with using The Recovery Club's facilities. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to the above, you agree that The Recovery Club will not be responsible for loss, damage, injury, or illness arising from your use of the facilities where that results from your failure to follow safety instructions, misuse of the facilities, or your failure to disclose relevant information that would reasonably affect your safe use of the facilities.

Emergencies

If you or another person becomes unwell or requires assistance, you must immediately notify a member of staff and follow the emergency procedures given. By booking, you consent to reasonable assistance being provided in an emergency and, where necessary, to emergency medical services being contacted.

Declaration

By checking the agreement box during booking, you confirm that:

  • You're 18 or over (or, for a supervised 16–17 year old attending the facilities, that a responsible adult has agreed to these terms on their behalf).
  • You have read and understood this disclaimer and terms of use.
  • You understand that the use of the sauna, ice bath, hot jacuzzi, and other facilities involves inherent risks.
  • You're responsible for determining whether the facilities are suitable for you.
  • You agree to follow all safety instructions, facility rules, and staff instructions.
  • You agree to stop using the facilities immediately if you feel unwell.
  • You confirm that you will not use the facilities while under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
  • You understand that you should seek medical advice if you have any concerns about your suitability to use the facilities.
  • You accept that you use the facilities entirely at your own risk, subject always to your legal rights.

Bookings and payment

Sessions are paid for in full at the time of booking via Stripe, our payment processor. Prices shown at checkout are the price you pay; we don't add fees afterward. A booking is only confirmed once payment succeeds.

Cancellations and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before your session, from the confirmation email or the manage your booking page. Cancelling within 24 hours of your session still releases the spot, but isn't refunded, and rescheduling is no longer available.

Memberships

Memberships renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling a membership stops future renewal; access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Memberships can be paused and resumed; paused periods don't count toward your renewal date.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change applies to new bookings.
